High Pointe Inn
The location, high on a hill overlooking a huge salt marsh, just outside the quaint village of Barnstable, and just a few minutes away from the mid-Cape Highway puts you in a perfect spot for exploring all that Cape Cod has to offer. Innkeepers Debbie and Rich Howard will cater to your every need with meticulous attention to detail. They've been in the B&B business for years and were even named BedandBreakfast.com Innkeepers of the Year 2008-09. Other awards the inn has won include Cape Cod Life Magazine's gold and silver awards for the best mid-Cape bed and breakfast and being named one of the Best Undiscovered Romantic Inns, again by BedandBreakfast.com There are three beautifully decorated suites, all of which have ocean views. A nice touch is a pair of binoculars in each room so that guests can get a better view of the dunes on Sandy Neck Beach and Cape Cod Bay beyond. Each morning a cooked-to-order, full country breakfast is served between 8:30-9:30 a.m. either in the lovely dining room or, weather permitting, on the spacious deck overlooking the back garden. Two packages on offer that might be of particular interest to couples include the Two Enchanted Evenings an all-inclusive romantic getaway, and the Babymoon Getaway specifically aimed at couples who are expecting a baby. Included in the Babymoon package is a two-night stay, a romantic three course gourmet dinner at a nearby restaurant, and a private one-hour side-by-side in-room couples massage offered by a full-service mobile spa service. So whether it's for one of these specific packages, or for just a few days of Cape Cod vacation time, a stay at the High Pointe Inn promises to be a memorable experience.
