Just because it says Resort doesn't mean it's a Resort

Sandwich Lodge and Resort is a very popular motel in Sandwich, but couples expecting a full-service Cape Cod resort in the vein of, say, the Cape Codder Resort, will likely not find what they're looking for here. Don't be fooled by the name.

But if you are looking for a comfortable and pleasant Cape Cod motel in Sandwich, with an indoor pool and a complimentary breakfast, the Sandwich Lodge and Resort is a good option. We think it suits families more than couples so don't be surprised if you find it jam packed with kids and teens.

Friends who have stayed there have noted that the staff is friendly, and the rooms are clean, if a bit dated (or tired as they say in hotel lingo).

This is a pet friendly motel.

Right next door is the BBC, a popular mini chain restaurant which offers a decent lunch and dinner menu. It's modeled after an English pub and if you go, order the burgers or pizza and a glass of Strongbow Cider.
